I'm constantly told my life is patterned after Under the Tuscan Sun (where the HELL IS that italian lover? stamps foot) ... so yes that scene was very relatable. Mes enfants have been whining to me about baking in California, so I understand the longing for the rain. What can I tell ya? guess you all will just have to move here. I have LOTS of room and loads of fun projects for each and all! I learned this week that all in-laws are referred to as belles and beaus, so LaF you must tell more about said beau frére.

finally, I may be a lazy bum, but at least the bum is shrinking!Non Je Ne Regrette Rienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02973542459591839879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866784164489453011.post-74337441367143015782008-09-05T12:24:00.000-07:002008-09-05T12:24:00.000-07:00Yeah, we know les Français are lazy bums compared ...Yeah, we know les Français are lazy bums compared to us hardworkin murkans, but this is beyond ridicule.Randal Graveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08728992897551848531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866784164489453011.post-33962953769417715192008-09-05T11:54:00.000-07:002008-09-05T11:54:00.000-07:00OK, what's up? I am so envious!!!

OJL is totally right. The last time it rained here... All jokes aside, I will be so happy to be in France just for the rain. Last night we watched a movie on TV5 called "Le mauvais fils" and there was a scene in which 4 friends were driving back from Normandy in a torrential rain storm.

Just before falling asleep, after the film, I asked Le Framéricain if French people really did have 3 friends with whom to go on a weekend trip to Normandy or if it was just more stereotyping. Most of the French people I know actually do seem to have friends, except my BIL, but that's another story.

Cannot wait to see the bedroom!!!La Framéricainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09879118710247405871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866784164489453011.post-20357990118697117612008-09-03T09:43:00.000-07:002008-09-03T09:43:00.000-07:00i love the smell after rain, last time it rained h...i love the smell after rain, last time it rained here..i don't know 1984.
Can't wait to see the chambre and I'm so excited for you to get the kitchen going.
Did you see "Under the tuscan sun"....there is a part where she's alone in her new villa, huge storm comes up, lightning hits the washer, an owl comes in her room and she covers herself with the sheet and hopes for the best.Bruce Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608705993987319356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866784164489453011.post-61717236695724677522008-09-03T07:51:00.000-07:002008-09-03T07:51:00.000-07:00Oh, Randal, nice reference to the Umbrellas of Che...Oh, Randal, nice reference to the Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
