desolée...

my blog was unavailable for a few days ... I have debated taking it private or whatnot as described below... I've decided I want to keep my blog as it brings me and others satisfaction.

but I will be changing certain aspects and refocusing more on local happenings, aspects of France and other news that I find interesting and less on my personal life ... I took it private for a few days to reflect and also because I wanted to do some editing, you may notice some missing posts ... it is funny how when one authors a blog it seems more like a journal and while I think most of my readers are around the globe, it is the local ones that can ( or maybe should ) limit the freedom with which you write about the events in your life and your feelings about those events.

it is all too much adolescent drama for me at times and not worth the effort ... so, as much as possible, I'm going to focus on some less private topics with this blog going forward. I have started a private blog, La Petite Piaf, for the other more personal topics I wish to document.

sorry for any confusion created, I've had a number of emails inquiring about why my blog isn't working. à bientot!

i just found out from my sister that an x, and not a good x has been following me on my blog. Creepy. it's a fine line, i want to hear about france and your life there, but sometimes the personal stuff comes in and it's hard to decide if you should put it in or not. I say start another personal blog and inivite readers.

Been there...

Done that...

Good luck deciding which way to go...

And continued best wishes on both your trip to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave and your life in Brantôme!

PS... I think I've read every post you've written and I cannot for the life of me recall one that felt remotely objectionable as concerns reflections on your personal life...

I missed getting my Kim-fix! Understand perfectly the doubts too, good luck figuring it all out. And enjoy your return to France when that comes - we may be passing in mid-air or train. hope to catch up with you later this summer.

I was so disappointed when I clicked onto your blog and found it closed. And so happy that I checked again and found it open. I love your 'take' on French life, even the more personal parts of your life. Having a blog myself, I certainly understand your dilemma...how much is too much to share? I will officially become a 'follower' instead of a 'lurker' so I can be included as you move forward.

Well that explains that. I figured you were giving us all the proverbial one-fingered salute, muah.

I hear you. I like blogging but generally have to go back and edit when I realize there are things in there that might come back to haunt me in my RL activity. It's a juggling act at times.

I do enjoy reading about your life...you have been and always will be an inspiration to me.
