potager ...

well my garden is in full swing...and some bits are going gangbusters! finished first round of green beans, tomatoes (cherry, heirloom, round) ripening on first vines, 2nd vines bearing fruit, 2nd wave of green beans in full bloom (beans on the way) ... up to my ears in mache (lamb's lettuce) and even got a few early onions. Cilantro is now about 10" tall.

Thinning beets and turnips, planted fennel this week and soon will put in chinese cabbage and chicory.

Mesclun and spinach are growing well. hmm, what else? Oh yes...radishes, carrots and zucchini in different stages of growth.

The only thing struggling are the jalapenos. Maybe there just isn't enough heat ...

flowers are blooming, grass is springing up for weekly mowing ...

it brings me joy!

Great garden! Great door! Great house! Great bod! Great life!
You're inspiring! How did you get the guts to do it? I'd love some words of inspiration!
I'm married to a French guy who's pretty unhappy here in NE, but I have 3 grown kids, 3 grandkids, one wonderful 90-year-old Mom, and too much guilt to fulfill a life's dream of moving to France!

Keep up the good work! Keep writing your blog, please, for people like me!

All of the above and wow! I'm so impressed. Still envious. But I could never work that hard now. Age does slow one down a bit. I'm almost content to live vicariously through you.

cindy~ hopefully, your chance will come soon ... at some point you are sure to find a way. and I'm trying to hang in with the blog although I think my frequency has lagged some.

rigsby~ your bee story was hilarious. i confess, i'm afraid of bees. there would have been an accident for sure if I had been in that van.

utah~ i've seen pics of your garden, you work hard in your own right my dear.
