my counter just hit 42 days. which translates into six weeks. which doesn't seem like a hell of a long time. According to this, I could complete an entire body makeover in that time. Also, sixweeksrecords is recognizing my pending adventure with a commemorative album in my likeness. Maybe I will celebrate by watching this maudlin movie of the same name and remind myself that not ALL American film is better than the French.
I'm going to start documenting the countdown. with photos, I think. soon, soon.

yes...do document the countdown. 42 days...I want it to be 42 days for us...by alas, it's something like 142 days. When did you start the counter?
ok - just had to come back and correct my date...we started the countdown on our blog at 145 days...it's now at 114 days...that makes me feel better. Our big celebration will be 90 days.
OJL ~ 114! wahoo, I remember when you were at 145! I think I started mine around 115 or so; I've only had this blog since 3/21. and it took me awhile to find various widgets and gadgets and stuff! Six weeks!!! just think, soon after I leave ... YOU guys will be at six weeks!
I haven't put a count down widget on my blog as I am not sure of our exact date of our departure. We are hoping to leave August 4th, but many things will decide that, including if there is room on the plane. We are flying with airline employee vouchers and that means we don't get a guaranteed reservation--but we do get business class for $400. All that said, if we leave on the 4th we have 64 days until we leave. That seems so soon.
So, B leaves first. Then JNRR, you leave and then me and then OJL. This countdown is so very exciting. And, JNRR, I am looking forward to you documenting the countdown! I am so excited for you!!! You are really doing this. We are all really doing this. Yay, us!!:-)
Like LBR, I'm not sure of our departure, but with 1/3 of the family there already, i know it's happening. I am quitting my job on July 4th - have yet to tell the boss the date tho' Anyway. A counter, yes, I'll look into that after i start actually posting on my blog! ;-)
How does one document a countdown?
F.o.t.-I'm thinking it would involve photos of my remaining days in the US ... along with my usual blatherings. Hmmm...I'm open for suggestions - maybe the photos include the day's 'number' until I arrive at zero?
or you could do a video of you saying.
10 days to go
9 days to go
.....
i abhor photos of myself...but maybe audio??? *smile*
