other things that have occupied me lately.

Realizing things actually ARE done differently in France.

Gazing at the multitude of different building styles in out of the way villages like these in Thiviers.

Multi-tasking whilst reading billboards ... working on my French AND my weekly itineraries ... c'est fantastique!

More work on the hostile living environment for spiders (otherwise known as Ivy Removal ... Ivy loves spiders and spiders love Ivy; plus Stone hates Ivy)

During a very hot day, took a swim in this river not far from my house ... threw the dogs in too .... Heaven!

I've got more, but I'll save for another post!

Yeah, don't you think five posts in one day is enough? Some of us are trying to work, dammit.

Groovy shots, though. I absolutely love those European buildings.

I know, you are just trying to make those of us who are lagging behind you green with envy!

I was in a bookstore in Québec City last Saturday night and picked up a book on touring France for Canadians. I flipped it open arbitrarily and my eyes fell up "Thiviers...Brantôme..."
Very powerful, Kim!

Nice photos and congrats on getting your internet up and running so that you may blog to your heart's content!

how cool, LAF! Yes I confess I was glued to the screen for several hours last night ... what a luxury! and no envy isn't my intent, just gentle prodding so I can have some known compatriots to share a glass of wine with. (I start language class next week, but I doubt that will help me find some French friends... and still, it is a stepping stone toward better communication, non?)

Looks great and fun and lovely and tranquil and a bit creepy (the ivy), I'm not a fan of ivy, too many creatures live in it.

OJL-me either on the ivy, that is why it is coming down. disperse, spiders, disperse!
