slightly buggy.

Day 37 finds me going just a little buggy. Certainly I'm happy to be sleeping in a REAL bed and all. But it has rained every day since I got here. Yeah I know it is Oregon and all but come ON it is June 5th. grrrr.

And since I am NO Oregonian I'm just not inspired to say ha, ha HAH ... liquid sunshine ... and tromp around in the freezing wetness with a big ole merde-mange'ing grin on my face!! ha-RUMPH!

So today's houseboundedness finds me camera in hand, taking a little snap of these adorable ladies I picked up last time in Paris. The last time I was in Paris was my househunting trip, combined with buying trip, I took with my daughter, Johnelle. She flew in by way of London and was excited to tell me that design stickers were all the rage in Europe. Not only had she seen them everywhere but Elle Décor UK confirmed it. Once we arrived in Paris, it was true ... they were everywhere! There were stickers for the kitchen, the living room, kids' rooms. There were stickers for windows and walls and furniture. There were botanical, ultra-modern, geometric, old world designs. Maps and boats and flowers and people. Gold and silver and black and white and every color in between.

So being the designaholics that we are. We bought. lots of samples! for the coast, I bought birds and bugs and snails. and calming phrases. quirky and fun.

I can't wait to install some ... en France. *mind wanders .... sigh*

I LOVE those design stickers! Your ladybugs are divine! I would so totally use those in my house.
My friend Susie bought some polka dot stickers of different sizes and colors and put them on her front door. Very cute. (She did it as a way to thumb her nose at her homeowners association, but she's kept them and I love that look.)

You're so lucky to be heading to France. I really miss it. Especially now that it is 96 degrees outside. I miss those beautiful 75 degree summer days.

I'm so glad you commented on my blog. It's really great to meet you.

RR~ Welcome! (anyone who thumbs their nose at HOAs are good in my book, by the way!). I'm looking forward to 75 degrees too, but mostly because I'm sick of Oregon rain and 50 degree weather in June! ha~ but thanks so much for stopping by, I love visiting your blog. Always feel like I could kick my shoes off and sip some lemonade when I'm there!

Rain and 50 degrees? Drool. Perfect writing weather. Wanna trade that for our sun and 90?

As for those stickers, I wonder if they come in tarantula. Our oldest despises them. Heh heh heh.

RG-I know, I know, but try weeks and weeks and weeks AND weeks AND WEEKS of it.... and it might get a little old.

Well France hasn't been great for weather either, don't get your hopes up. I saw a British website where you could upload a design and then order similar stickers as the ones you are talking about. It looked pretty cool. They have a sister website called Moo I think. You can upload pictures and designs and then create match books or better yet sticker books that you can trade. Very 11 year old girl, perfect for me.

well dear FT-the 10 day forecast for Bordeaux region reads 70-71 vs. our 50-51 ... so somewhat of an improvement. mooo-o-o-o! (love it, will check it out)

hehe I thought you spilled some paint in a very creative manner at first. Those are pretty cool, what other ones do you have and how easy are they to get off once you stick em on?

They have had the driest May in recorded history this year in Stornoway, I'm pretty sure it's because of my good weather karma. I'm certainly making the most of it!!!

I'd love weeks and weeks and weeks of it. Yes, I'm strange.

Ugh...the rain IS depressing and I can't take it anymore! (I'm in Oregon too).
My friend in Toulouse, France called last week and said they are having a deluge...rain, rain, rain. This is not normal weather for them this time of year either.
So...that makes me feel a bit better :)
