naked french fire dancing. well sorta.

So tonight I'm going to a party hosted by French friends Marjo and Rodolphe.

It is to celebrate the election of Barack Obama!

In their estimation, it is an American-style dinner. We are having hamburgers and Budweiser! I've been asked to bring coleslaw! Yes folks, the countryside here is ecstatic. In fact, over 85% of the French supported Barack.

I adore my newly adopted country and country-folk. I hope we have some American music in the background.

If I were warmer and feeling more ambitious I'd bake an apple pie. You know ... that old American standby.

But I'm not. So coleslaw it is! I'll toss back a Bud (ergh) for y'all!

Hey there, Baby Girl!

Congratulations on representing the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave in your adopted land!

I hope the party is/was a smash success. We were laughing, crying, high fiving, and fist bumping at 8:00pm PST. Thank ya Jaysus!!!

How sweet it is!

I even told Le F that it was probably going to make our transition and settling into la belle France all the nicer. Leaving the country in good hands and all!

Yippee!!!

If the French think we're all into Budweiser, we still have some work to do on the American image abroad:) In any case, hoist one for me and toast the possibility of a much better relationship. Ding-dong, the witch is dead.

Sorta? I was hoping for flicker shots.

Um, yeah, do something about that Budweiser. Yikes!

I baked an apple pie. It's highly over rated. Kind of like the Bud. Glad you're our representative in France.

Thankfully folks, no Bud was located. We made do with Champagne, Corona, burgers and coleslaw...and watching French coverage of a program from NY with Maria Bartiromo! lol... t'was fun.
